Perhaps you have not heard, but Barnes & Noble recently launched their very own iPhone application so you can easily access their library of books, find stores and much more. I went there today becuase not only do I love Barnes & Noble, but they have a current promotion that if you download this iPhone application, they give you a free cup of cofffee. Guess what? It worked! Once I downloaded the app, I went into the store and claimed my joe. I have videos below to prove it!
Have you thought about building an iPhone (or BB) application for your brand or business? It’s certainly something to think about.
Take these sobering stats: 60 percent of the world’s population now use mobile phones, with approximately 4.1 billion mobile-phone subscriptions annually… Mobile devices totally eclipse home computer sales, so my advice is to take a look at your business, and see if an application like this would be a good fit, as it would just continue to do the following:
- Keep you in touch with your customers.
- Allow your customers to be in ’more’ in control of your brand. (Uh yeah, they already control it)
- Something you can use as a marketing tool.
- It’s the future…actually, the future of mobile marketing is already here.
