Speaking At Social Networking World Forum

Tim at Hyatt I just wanted to give a quick update on my travels to my home state, California.  Right now, I am sitting in my hotel room trying to tackle the poor Wi-Fi service in this nice hotel (Yelp review coming)

Ok, so I am in San Jose, California, just miles away from where I was born, Fremont, California. Tim Moore and I are here for an exciting international event called Social Networking World Forum – North America. The company that organized this event, 6 Degrees, is based in England, and are extremely organized in  international planning.  They are holding events like this one all over the world, and this is their US stop.

The Event:

Starts Monday November 8th – November 9th, 2009. This 2 day conference will focus totally on social media, and it’s use in business.  What I like about this event is that it focuses how other companies are leveraging social media, and receiving ROI. Other highlights:

  • How to build a social media marketing campaign
  • How to balance this with other marketing initiatives
  • Will feature speakers from fortune 500 companies, and small business using SM
  • Facebook developer Garage & Workshops
  • 600 registrants, and 1000+ coming to the expo

We Are Speaking With Some Cool Peeps:

Tim and I were invited to not only be one of the few sponsors, but also to participate on panels.  We are humbled that two guys from little ole’ Wilmington, NC will be contributing to this event.  Take a look at both of our discussions.  For a full schedule of both days, take a look at this PDF.
